Artwork
The 2-ply cardboard is adhered to Dibond, an aluminum composite material, to create a rigid, strong overall frame.

Process
Step 1
Begins with 2-ply cardboard that is burned through by a laser process producing multiple puzzle like pieces.
Step 2
I spray paint the entire background and then use stencils to spray paint certain areas.
Step 3
The pieces are then heavily spray varnished creating a super glossy surface, somewhat like a classic car finish.
Step 4
Then, I spray paint the individual puzzle-like pieces and apply a heavy dose of spray varnish.
Step 5
I spray mount reflective mylar on top of the aluminum Dibond base which allows the reflective mirror-like quality to show through the laser cut holes.
Step 6
Then, I spray mount the back of the 2-ply cardboard and adhere the cardboard and Dibond together.
Step 7
Lastly, I glue selected puzzle-like pieces back into their respective laser cut holes.

Packaging
Each piece is securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
